Week 6 Blog: My Three Sources (Sunday)

1. podcast:Writing Animated Features

This is a podcast. The name of the uploader is ScriptNotes Podcast. The link is: https://poddmap.com/sv/podcasts/scriptnotes-podcast/356-writing-animated-features. If you want to see the text version, you can click on this link: https://johnaugust.com/2018/scriptnotes-ep-356-writing-animated-movies-transcript.

This podcast invites Linda Woolverton to talk about her experience creating her own animated work, from the parallel process of writing and producing to her meager salary for Beauty and the Beast. I think it is very meaningful and new. This can give a new perspective to the analysis.

Linda thinks that she adapted the 1991 version of beauty and the beast from drama and changed the music. I think we can make a comparison between the two works.

2. text- With Rogue One, the Star Wars Franchise Gets Even More Feminist

This is an article. Its name is with rogue one, the Star Wars French gets even more, and its author is Megan gabber. The link is: https://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2016/12/with-rogue-one-the-star-wars-franchise-gets-even-more-feminist/510944/

The reason why I choose this article as my reference is that it points out that nowadays movies are more and more moving towards "asexual movies". It means that in today's movies, many heroines no longer need to rely on men. This is consistent with the change of the film beauty and beast that we analyzed.
